It’s a wonderful thing when you discover what and why you are here and where you fit. For us it's pretty broad and exciting. Here are some things we love and are active in.
Locally
Well it's a given that part of this is to work with some of the most vulnerable in our city. We love it! This for us is a privilege!
Most of this work happens through our charity Soul Café. We serve meals but ‘it’s more than a meal’ Soul is a convergence of help. It's a pretty big work with enormous support throughout the community. soulcafe.org.au
We’re in a number of schools mentoring kids at risk through RUSH rushmentoring.org.au
Our Friday Chill season – here we activate Pacific Park with live music,and food that thousand enjoy from January to March. We are into building places and spaces that bring life. @newiefridaychill
We have a Truth on Tap season for the blokes in a pub setting where men are inspired by the true stories of survival and achievement in life, by other local men.
CityServe throughout October is a big deal… Church, Council and Community engaged together cityserve.org.au
We’ve got engagement with a bunch of other that help with housing, refuges, seafarers SRE…
The Annual Lord Mayor's Prayer Breakfast is part of what we do each year on the first Friday of June lmpb.org.au
Kingdomworks is a catalytic body that exists for city and region kingdomworks.org.au you can catch our Team Leader each week on radio elevating some really cool things that the church is doing throughout the region, nation and internationally.
Nationally
We are part of the Australian Pioneer Network with a bunch of other churches around the nation. Relational partnering and supporting one another connecting a few times a year pioneeraustralia.org.au
Rick’s part of the ‘One Heart’ for the nation team. A catalytic group that is big on churches engaged for their place oneheart.com.au Part of this includes Movement Day gatherings movementday.com.au which is largely is about local grass roots gospel works building into the culture of towns and cities around the nation.
Internationally
We support a great work throughout FiJi’s prison system with Peter and Jill Schultz operationfoundationfiji.org
Thailand Glory Home is a residential work caring for some of the most vulnerable pioneered by one of our Life church members, Alexa Brown gloryhomethailand.com
We love the UK and are connected to the Pioneer Network UK led by Billy and Caroline Kennedy pioneer.org.uk
